When asked why music, he said: “I found out I was gifted in it so I had to explore it. It’s my life, my hustle, my world.” In 2010 Olamide released a song named ‘Eni Duro’ The song received nationwide critical acclaim and instantly shot Olamide to limelight. Some attributes that keeps Olamide a float in the rap game is that he stays out of scandals and he doesn’t get a lot of negative attention from the media. Some of his notable aspects are his fast paced raps, him being a versatile rapper and that he can blend different tunes and beats. The things I admire about Olamide is that he has a nice flow, and he’s been consistent with the good hits. A critique would be for him to invest back into his community more, build up schools, help make more job opportunities for Blacks, and so much more. Olamide has in the past expressed that music is deeply rooted in him and he cannot envision himself doing anything else, describing his music as “100% Naija”.
