Everyone needs to check this artist out. He is a young hip hop artist from Addis Ababa who has been dropping hits from left to right.

In the earlier days, he was releasing tracks like Straight Up and Yen Abena. These tracks were fun and filled with rhythm that moved your entire body. Even when he was younger, he showed confidence and playfulness that got people to listen to the new voice. Another song he released later on was Sira, which translates to “work,” which was about the grind and pushing forward. It connects with people who hustle to accomplish their goals in life.

But the song that stood out to me the most was Amalay, which was released in May 2024. From the opening beat, this song got my attention. The lyrics are about believing in oneself, believing in your culture, and pushing past any obstacle that gets in your way. I felt like he was talking directly to me and encouraged me to work hard to accomplish my goals, and the only way to do that is if you have faith in yourself.

One of his latest songs is called Habesha, which features Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy alongside Skat Nati and Giday, blending Ethiopian pride with Afrobeat energy that gets people moving. The term Habesha itself is a loving reference to people of Ethiopian and Eritrean heritage, and Skat Nati shows off its identity with verses that feel catchy and meaningful.
