Baby gang- Rassi ft ElGrandeToto
First Impression
The instant vibe I got after hearing ” Rassi ” was the attitude of the artist, head up, chest out facing the sky, giving the impression that the artist gave up or is lost in a way with a stressed aura. The title ” Rassi” which translates to my head fits nicely because the song is basically about your mindset such as staying sharp, protecting his peace, his thoughts, and moving on like someone who is being constantly being tested and is still standing.
The Beat of Morocco
The song’s flex isn’t just bragging about money, cars, girls and flashing materials, it’s more like I deserve to breathe now. Which is a very youth feeling that is shared between Moroccans, especially in big cities where everyone is grinding while prices climb, jobs feel limited, and social pressure is loud. So even when rappers talk about winning, it rarely feels like pure celebration when actually it feels like survival to get a stable living. Also the artist is Moroccan- Italian which is why he shows parts of Italy in the video while still being with his community and people.

Background
Moroccan hip-hop didn’t begin as a trendy import. It came in waves, mid 1980s onward, carried partly by Moroccans returning from Europe, then flipped into something local through Darija, Moroccan slang, and a very Moroccan sense of identity. Early rap was mostly underground, passed around in neighborhoods, youth hangouts, and local circles, before the scene started gaining real visibility in the 1990s. After that, crews, grassroots platforms, and city based scenes grew the culture into a full youth movement.
My Take
Rassi is all about mindset it shows when he says ” raise 3amer machakil, solo ka n3ich ghi f lil” it gives the energy of focus, pressure, and moving through the night this also shows when he’s surrounded by his community and kids from his neighborhood in the video which makes it feel more authentic and as if we are getting a glimpse of his day to day lifestyle and that he’s not faking it, I really liked this song and I personally enjoyed the authenticity and realism of the video and how honest he’s being about his life, I also really like the beat of the song it sounds very gentle and calm, the tone of the whole song is very relaxed which makes you feel his emotions throughout the song.
