After listening to the song, I was surprised by how “American” Nasty C sounds. Although I am not very familiar with the typical sound of South African artists, this aspect of his music intrigued me. After listening a few times, I thought the song was good overall, but I could not help feeling that the lyrics were fairly simple. However, despite their simplicity, it was still essential for Nasty C to release this song for his supporters. The track remains inspirational and meaningful.

If I had to rate this song on a scale of 0–10, with 10 being the best, I would give it a 6/10. Although I was surprised not to hear much of a South African accent, I was slightly turned off by how closely Nasty C seems to mimic American rappers, which made the song feel somewhat unoriginal. However, I did appreciate the authenticity of his message and the honesty conveyed through his lyrics. Since this was only one of three songs I listened to by Nasty C, I would need to hear more of his music to provide a more well-rounded review, but this is my rating for now.

Overall, the message behind the song is powerful. Nasty C reflects on a difficult upbringing and having something to prove to those who may not have believed he could turn his life around. Now that he is living comfortably, he appears to be learning more about himself, stepping back from the pursuit of silver and gold, and focusing more on intentional bonds with family and friends.
