Nyaborchar- by TR Craze 211 Song Review by Samuel Hwang

Introductions are always a big problem for me. I always feel pressured to impress people that I meet for the first time. But I think it’s always better when I actually have something to say. You ready? Here we go:

Throughout this semester, I will be tasked with writing about the hip-hop scene in Tanzania, and it will be my first time. As I was preparing for this, I typed one question into Perplexity AI: What is THE one song I need to hear from 2025~2026 if I am first to the Tanzanian Hip-Hop Scene? Then Nyaborchar- by TR Craze 211 came out. So here are my takes

1. Wait, Auto-tunes are not so bad after all..!

I am the type of person that whole heartedly believes that honesty is the best policy. So, I’ll be real with my musical taste here as well: I wasn’t a big fan of autotune. However, I have a feeling that my personal sentiment against autotune might change. I learned how well the autotune fits the vibe of the beat!!!

2. Lyrics?

I think the subject matter and content fit the designed beat well. It was focused on showering the one in the song with love,

the key lyrics that I highlighted goes like: “You’ve got my heart and my soul on lock / And I wanna go crazy with you

which I think goes well with the tropical beat and the vibe that they wanted to show in the album visualizer goes well together.

3. Genre/song design?

Again, the use of autotune was great, and the mix of autotune based melodies with hard rap towards the second half keeps the listeners enagaged to the song, and adds variation to methods of expression. I think the song design of this track is considered very trendy knowing that it was released around 2~3 months ago, and I would love to continue to follow this artist.

4. Impact?

At this point, I got a little curious to see if this song won any award, so I did some more digging: But the results colored me surprise, this track didn’t win any formal award, but won best song of the year within facebook groups! So I think it is safe to say that this track is indeed the people’s champion!
