Edger Vicent Mwaipeta, more commonly known as Dizasta Vina, is a prominent Tanzanian rapper, songwriter, and producer, known primarily for his lyricism in his modern Swahili hip-hop songs. He is openly celebrated for his complex rhyme scheme and cinematic storytelling.

Vina is often known for transforming rap into more than just music, but also poetry. His music usually bypasses the traditional club hype music and focuses heavily on deep social topics and themes. This song focuses on the dad of the story, being Dizasta Vina, realizing that he brought a child into the world without the consent of the child, and because of this, he feels it is his own obligation to explain the rules of life before the child faces the hardships life has to offer. The song offers several layers of social and existential commentary, including but not limited to autonomy, protection, legacy, and religion, utilizing all of these angles to further elaborate on the responsibilities life has to offer, but also the freedom and struggles.
