“Baby” by Liberian Hip-Hop artist MC Caro will get you moving even in your seat. MC Caro is a very popular rapper out of Liberia, not to mention a female (though that doesn’t make a difference). She has even won Best Female Rapper of the Year in 2020 at the Liberia Music Awards.

This song is a playful, romantic upbeat vibe that has layers and one of them is about forgiveness and letting go. I am sure we can all resonate with the pain of heartbreak and feelings of being done wrong. MC Caro inspires a message to forgive: “I forgive you, sin no more.” Not only this, but she sends a message about personal strength. This is just the reminder that we all need this Valentine’s Day that even if we have experienced broken love, we’re still here and we are “still good” as Caro says.

MC Caro walks with confidence and she encourages us to do the same in “Baby”. My new line is,”Even if you double your socks, you can’t fit in my shoe!” That was fire! I encourage everyone, even if you have a boo but if you don’t go on a solo date this weekend. Valentine’s Day, a commercialized holiday mind you, is not a celebration of love with a partner. It is a celebration of love in general including love for yourself.
