We have featured the work of several queer artists in Africa, as well as the increasing number of artists who are allies. This video is of a panel discussion at that took place at Howard University this month, which brought together Ghanaian activists and allies of the LGBT+ community in Ghana in light of the recent attacks against members of that community. On that panel was hip hop artist Wanlov the Kubolor, who has been featured on this blog several times, and interviewed for the podcast. African hip hop artists like Wanlov in Ghana and Falz the Bahd Guy in Nigeria are using their platforms to do ally work.
