Africa is the future of hip-hop. It’s 54 African nations. Not only are they spitting like crazy, but they’re also braiding languages. Hip-hop is going to like 3.0 when you talk about Africa. Hip-hop is there. So that’s the sustaining power if you want to pay attention to it. – Chuck D

30 days of Tanzanian hip hop: Day 14 – Wakazi. He represents the Ukonga neighborhood in Dar and later moved to Chicago where he was part of the underground hip hop scene. He returned to Tanzania a few years ago and has been making a lot of moves. Wakazi
