Husayn is a rapper from Egypt who found his first success in his debut single “Keif”. He is well known for his distinctive vocal style and flow. As a member of the Maadi Town Mafia, he raps alongside FL EX, Wingii, Lil Noby, Tommy Gun, and LORENZOO. The group is a part of the underground- yet groundbreaking- hip hop scene in Egypt. They represent the street style and creativity of youth.

Since the Arab Spring 2011, participating in politics could have you end up in jail. Thus many have taken to the creative outlet of music and art. Specifically hip hop. Through American hip hop and African hip hop, graffiti has been a vital part in the creative process of expression. Through graffiti, people are able to make political statements (statements in general) with few to no words.

In March 2022 Husayn released Stop (magnolia), with his Maadi Town Mafia mate; FL EX. The song is about resilience and determination. Both rappers hone in on the theme of succeeding against all odds. They state how they don’t want to be influenced by others, but they want to make their own path. With intense delivery and a powerful beat, this song is a strong example of the talent and ability many Egyptians have within themselves This song is a good representation of the youth in Egypt to persevere despite the disadvantages they may be met with.
