As I journey throughout my Hip Hop & Pop Culture of Africa class, I decided to explore more of Ko-C’s discography. A recent highlight in my journey is his 2026 track, ‘Securiser’ feat. Sindika. While my French is still a work in progress, the title translates to “Secure” in English. Much like ‘Chacun A Son Look,’ which I previously explored, this track seems to have an underlying uplifting message. It features Ko-C’s signature rapid-fire flow but blended with a smoother, rhythmic Afrobeat that carries a positive energy, encouraging listeners to sway to the beat. This blend seems to be a hallmark of what modern Cameroonian hip-hop is refining. They are making music that is both lyrically potent and danceable.
