In this episode, I discuss the connection between fame, wealth, and African female artists through the work of Little Simz and Ivorian Doll. I’ll talk about the desire for fame to preserve a legacy, why we enjoy songs about flexing, and why sex sells. Above all, this episode is about the exploitation of Black women for capitalist goals.
