Dareen is growing in popularity in Egypt’s hip-hop scene. She is from Alexandria and is a voice for young women and artists in the MENA region. Something unique about her is the use of traditional Egyptian rhythms in her tracks. She describes using those beats allows her to feel connected with her culture and reminds her where she is from.

A young woman with a stylish bun hairstyle poses in a red shirt against a pink background, showcasing various gold jewelry.

In an interview with Al-Monitor, she describes herself as an artist who can talk about everything, but as a woman in the Egyptian rap scene their is a class divide. Many women rappers are from the upper echelons of society, so she, just at 25 years old, is trying to break that mold.

The “Didi Awla” 2025 song opens up  “Not one in a million, nor one in three, the head of the spear without blame.” This is showing how they’re at the top of the game without any hesitation.

It also looks into how the Egyptian rap scene functions, with the lyrics stating“A deal, I’ll bring his (money) and hide it; I’ll bring another one.” Showing the need to be selective about money to avoid scammers or legal troubles.

The next line talks about having a pure heart, which can be hard in a career with so much competition. Having a pure heart is rare and will not allow you to always be on top.

Throughout the songs, they warn that if he is provoked to speak loudly or to behave in a certain way, there will be consequences that will affect people. Also, claims “My words are blunt-rough and raw.” Overall this song

The song features repetitive lyrics that explore financial success, personal freedom, and confidence. Overall, the piece is looking at growing their wealth and the pursuit of an independent lifestyle

The beat is catching, and the flow is nice. I would rate this song 7/10 for the beat and catchy lyrics. A deeper message and another verse would make the song better.
