friend or foe by Eva Alordiah

Eva Alordiah is a female Nigerian rapper. The song friend or foe highlights exactly what the title means. Are you my friend or are you my foe? This was more of a song of confusion of not knowing what you are and the artist is asking to show what side you are on and not just talk that talk. Actions speak louder than words. Eva Alordiah just wants to know what side you are on. She also says that she’s watching what said person is doing so that she can figure that out. This song tells a story of trust and betrayal. It got to the point where she had to pray to God. It’s a story telling the emotions of losing trust in someone. Brings extreme sadness. Gives you sleepless nights where sometimes you are crying. Eva Alordiah thanks God for still being here cuz she could have died in her sleep. The lyrics are repeated throughout the song highlighting the importance of what it means to know if you are a friend or a foe. Overall I liked the song. The song flowed very well. This isn’t the type of music I would listen to but for the genre that it was, it was a good song. I defy the odds of a typical rapper because you don’t see many female rappers. Let alone female rappers who are speaking some truth. This was a well-structured song that I believe can connect to many people regardless of age or how old the song is. It was speaking facts. I don’t know if I should trust you or not and you need to show me that I can trust you. I don’t want to hear you say I can trust you. Show me that.
