Celebrating and Elevating the Voices of Queer African Hip-Hop

This mixtape is an accumulation of songs from successful queer hip-hop artists in Africa (FAKA, Lelowhatsgood, Mx Blouse, Dope Saint Jude, and Angel-Ho). Hip-hop is a prominent genre of music in Africa, but it significantly lacks queer representation and acknowledgment. These visionary artists serve as the voices of the LGBTQ+ community and work to create space for more people like them who go underrepresented and underappreciated, simply because of their identity. Enjoy!
